The challenge
Originally, data, mandates and documents were mostly only available on a decentralised basis at the companies of the divisions and regions:
- Shareholding-relevant information was provided from diverse data sources with heterogeneous data quality.
- Ad hoc queries on socially relevant information were cascaded via email.
- Structures under company law could be queried, but nothing more.
- In one system the company law structure was available, in another the company information.
- Boards were kept in Excel spreadsheets.
Our mission
TÜV Rheinland AG wanted an SAP-based software solution that would create more transparency in the legal entity management solutions and improve the efficiency of the maintenance processes of all data for this purpose. At the same time, the software was to support all central and local communicative and administrative tasks as well as task planning and provide a digital document repository for all company law documents. The ease of use of the legal entity management system also played an important role.
The solution
The introduction of zetVisions CIM, a special legal entity management software, ensured a central, uniform and consistent database at TÜV Rheinland. Document classes were defined for the company-relevant documents with zetVisions Corporate Investment Manager (CIM). On certain key dates, the software now gives a hint to deposit defined data/documents in the system. The use of assistants contributes significantly to the increase in data quality, as the corresponding responsibilities are also stored in the system through defined release processes.
TÜV Rheinland thus benefits from more security and a significant acceleration of these previously very time-consuming processes. The fast and flexible creation of reports and ad-hoc queries also facilitates work and saves time. In addition, the legal entity management software from zetVisions scores with ease of use thanks to its user-friendly interface and the option of digital document storage.
